At Pyramid our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Charlotte, NC provides compassionate, individualized mental health care for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Our mission is to support long-term recovery and independence by delivering treatment and rehabilitation services directly in the community—where our clients live, work and thrive. 

What is ACTT?

Our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) services utilize an evidence-based, person-centered model designed to reduce hospitalizations, improve quality of life and help individuals with mental health conditions maintain stability in the community. Pyramid Charlotte ACTT offers intensive support from a multidisciplinary team of licensed professionals who work collaboratively to address every aspect of a client's well-being. 

Comprehensive ACTT Services

Our multidisciplinary team provides a wide range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each client. These include: 

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication support Our psychiatrists and nursing staff help clients understand and manage their mental health through medication education, monitoring and management.

  • Individual and group counselingLicensed therapists offer personalized therapy to help individuals manage symptoms, cope with trauma and set personal goals for recovery.

  • Case management and life skills trainingACTT team members assist clients with everyday needs such as budgeting, transportation, employment support and navigating community resources.

  • Integrated substance use treatmentFor those with co-occurring disorders, we provide integrated support for both mental health and substance use recovery.

  • Peer Support Services – Certified Peer Support Specialists provide guidance and encouragement based on personal experience with recovery.

Who We Serve

Our ACTT services in Charlotte, NC are designed for adults diagnosed with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder. Many of our clients also experience co-occurring disorders, including substance use challenges.
