Supporting Veterans Through Every Stage of Recovery

Across West Virginia, many veterans continue to face challenges long after their military service ends. The impact of trauma, chronic stress and life transitions can make substance use feel like the only way to cope. At Pyramid Healthcare in West Virginia, we recognize these struggles and offer dedicated, veteran-focused care through Project Resilience.

Our program is built to honor the strength of those who served by providing guidance, structure and clinically grounded treatment. Veterans receive support that helps them rebuild stability, confidence and connection — all within an environment that respects their experiences and their resilience.

A Safe Place to Reset and Rebuild

Returning to civilian life can be disorienting. Many veterans describe feeling disconnected, overwhelmed or unable to manage the emotional weight of their experiences. When alcohol or drugs become part of that cycle, healing requires both safety and solid clinical support.

Project Resilience at Pyramid Healthcare in West Virginia offers that foundation. Our treatment settings provide structure, accountability and trauma-informed care from teams experienced in working with veterans. Through individualized assessments, therapeutic programming and coordinated support, we help clients begin restoring their physical, emotional and behavioral health.

Reclaiming Strength, Purpose, and Direction

Veterans are conditioned to push through hardship without asking for help, which can make overcoming addiction especially difficult. At Project Resilience, we meet every client with respect and the understanding that recovery is not a setback — it is a return to strength.

Our approach encourages veterans to rediscover purpose, process trauma, rebuild relationships and learn new skills for long-term health. Through evidence-based therapy and peer connection, clients gain tools to navigate triggers, manage stress and rebuild the stability they deserve.
