Clients are permitted to bring a maximum of $100.00 cash allowance with them to treatment.
You may bring unopened tobacco products with you to treatment.
You may not bring the following with you to treatment:
- Chewing tobacco (permitted at halfway houses only)
- Lighters, e-cigarettes and vaping products
- Open tobacco products
- Open personal hygiene products
- Non-religious or non-recovery related reading material
- Over-the-counter medications
- Perfume, cologne, nail polish, aerosol cans
- Food or beverages
- Glass bottles or sharp objects
- Any item containing alcohol
- Inappropriate clothing
- Laundry facilities and detergent
- Bed linens, pillows, and blankets
- Three meals per day
- Beverages and snacks
- Lounge time
- Gym/designated recreation area
- Private/individual shower stalls
You may bring religious, spiritual, or recovery-related reading materials to treatment. Non-religious, non-spiritual, or non-recovery related print material are not permitted in treatment.
Our Altoona Detox and Inpatient in Duncansville, PA does not allow any print materials to be brought into the facility. The facility does provide reading materials from their onsite book collection.
Yes, treatment is co-ed. However, our inpatient/residential programs are separated by gender within the facility. We also offer gender-specific treatment programs.
Our residential/inpatient suites accommodate two or three clients; however, we have a limited number of single rooms at certain facilities to accommodate clients with specific needs.
Our inpatient/residential facilities offer a designated workout area and a variety of equipment. Equipment available varies among the facilities.
Depending on the facility, you may need to bring change or a calling card. Some programs offer a designated office phone where calls can be made at no charge.
This varies from program to program. Check with Admissions or a Community Relations Representative for more details about the facility you’re considering.
Yes. We provide complimentary transportation to any of our treatment facilities from any location agreed upon by the client and our admissions staff during the assessment process. When possible, we do transport more than one client at a time, so be aware that you may ride with someone else.
All clients are eligible, regardless of the type of treatment they are receiving. We do not provide transportation for family or friends of clients. We provide transportation for admissions, discharges, and client appointments of all kinds.
Yes. Our drivers are all qualified beyond having a valid Pennsylvania state driver’s license. They can administer CPR and have additional training in relevant emergency and safety procedures, as well as NARCAN training. Our drivers are experienced in handling a wide variety of clients and situations. We complete thousands of transports per month, including admissions, discharges, and client appointments of all kinds.
Yes. All clients are required to wear a seat belt while in a Pyramid Healthcare vehicle.
