Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Radford, VA Residential Program

Radford, VA – October 4, 2023 – Pyramid Healthcare, Inc.’s ribbon cutting ceremony celebrated the opening of the Radford, VA residential treatment center offering access to quality substance use and/or co-occurring disorder treatment for residents of the New River Valley area.

The residential treatment program in Radford is one of two Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. behavioral healthcare facilities in Virginia. Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. opened its first residential and outpatient treatment program for adults in Newport News, Virginia in July 2021.

Notable event attendees included Pulaski County Supervisor Michael Mooney, Pulaski County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Dirk Compton, Pulaski County Administrator and keynote guest Jonathan Sweet, Pulaski County Board of Supervisors Chair Laura Walters, Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce President Bill Cunningham, community members, and Pyramid Healthcare leadership staff.

The New River Valley Residential program currently provides low intensity 3.1 residential and 2.5 partial hospitalization programming (PHP) including evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and mindfulness programming for adult men and women struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Future expansion slated for July of 2024 includes 20 beds allotted for 3.7 withdrawal management and 40 beds designated for 3.5 residential treatment. At full occupancy, the facility will provide employment for more than 100 staff members in Radford.

Located at 6226 University Park Drive, Radford, VA 24141, the residential treatment program is currently welcoming adult clients. Virginia Medicaid and most commercial medical insurances are accepted.
